Reporting To: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing all projects and leading all project managers, he should be able to provide status updates of all projects to Gulf Steel management when needed.

Main Responsibilities:
• Strategic/Planning:
o Ensuring that project management is aligned with the Gulf Steel overall strategy and direction.
• Technical:
o Forecasting required human resources and equipment.
o Allocating project managers, site engineers and foremen on different projects.
o Clarifying and communicating all duties, responsibilities and expectations of all project stakeholders as well as setting up all communication channels.
o Developing project plans along with the project managers.
o Managing different types of risks associated with each project.
o Monitoring, with the help of the project manager, all phases of the project until issuing the completion certificate to ensure that all projects are running smoothly and according to the agreed time plan.
o Following up the collection process.
o Ensuring the on-time delivery.
o Ensuring QA/QC over all projects.
o Supporting the proposal developing phase when needed.
o Preparing and submitting regular consolidated status reports to be presented to Gulf Steel management.
o Preparing method statements.
o Reviewing and sharing the status reports, work plans, change requests …etc.
o Offering erection and construction services in terms of construction management and site analysis including preplanning operations, site layout requirements, overhead hoisting operations and erection planning.
o Clearing/closing any disputes/claims and completing the handing over process and make sure that the acceptance criteria had been met. Preparing project closing report, updates performance index and document lessons learned.
o Progressing evaluation, measurement and invoicing process.
o Executing, monitoring and controlling of all projects.
o Being aware of risk and success factors of projects and plans corrective actions accordingly.
o Delegating tasks and sharing information /knowledge to enable delegation within his authority.
o Breaking down multiple problems/situations into their component parts to evaluate and execute appropriate action at a highly competent level.
• People Management:
o Staffing departmental positions in line with Gulf Steel needs and standards.
o Leading, supporting, and motivating the department to achieve optimal performance.
o Monitoring and appraising project managers' performance and recommending development plans to develop their skills and competencies, and following up on the implementation of this plan.

• Interdepartmental:
o Being a liaison figure between project management and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and implementation of the awarded projects.
• External Relations:
o Maintaining a high level of client's satisfaction and regularly checking their feedback regarding the services delivered, and developing good relationships with clients.
o Maintaining a reliable network of suppliers/vendors and encouraging long-term relations.
• General:
o Achieving operational excellence and cost optimization across the project management activities.
o Providing performance and status reporting to the operations manager to enable informed decision making and responsiveness.
o Undertaking other related duties assigned by the operations manager.
