As a Senior Internal Auditor is responsible you will be responsible for performing financial and operational risk based audits at all companies of the group to ensure compliance with necessary internal and external standards. The position will require frequent to travel to several countries in the Middle East and sometimes Europe.

Key responsibilities are:

• Ensure proper internal control policies and practices through a comprehensive risk based audit.
• Identify control procedures in order to ensure that risks are properly monitored.
• Analyze business processes, procedures, activities and the company's financial reporting system.
• Measure compliance with the entity's policies & procedures in order to detect deficiencies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the organization's risk management processes.
• Advise management on improving work activities and optimizing the work flow
• Have a target of enhancing a governance model that is suitable for the group of companies.
• Coordinate with the audit and risk management on designing auditing projects.
• Involve key people (Managing Directors, Subsidiaries Internal Controllers/Auditors, etc.) in decision making and risk monitoring activities.
• Take into account risks related to each country: currency rates, purchase and sales, country risk, customers, political.. etc.
• Contribute to promoting audit and risk awareness cultures in the group.
• Review the reliability and integrity of financial information and the means used to identify measure, classify and report such information.
• Review the systems established to ensure compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws, regulations, and contracts which could have a significant impact on operations and reports, and determine whether the operation is in compliance.
• Review the means of safeguarding assets and, as appropriate, verify the existence of such assets.
• Appraise the economy and the efficiency with which resources are employed.
• Review operations or programs to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and whether the operations or programs are being carried out as planned.
• Work closely with the GCFO and risk manager to develop the group's audit and risk manual.
