• The Supply Chain Officer will be able to work cross functionally (Distribution, Channel Management, Vendor Supply Chain, Forecasting, and Planning) to drive best practices and achieve results
• Leads the supply chain initiatives, best practices, and strategies, ensuring effective implementation and execution.
• Supervises supplier performance including scorecards, internal metrics and inventory control.
• Ensures supply chain process is accountable for meeting continuous improvement initiatives both from a strategic and tactical perspective including lead time reduction, flexibility to schedules, quality improvement, inventory reduction, and cost reduction on a year over year basis.
• Leads performance improvement programs throughout the supply chain using overall leadership experience and plays a key role in the implementation of Lean/Continuous Improvement techniques throughout the organization.
• Combine business process expertise, operations knowledge and strategic business skills to deliver improvements and cost savings.
• Develops and maintains early warning system to identify low stock conditions.
• Prioritizes high-demand items to satisfy demand.
• Directs order tracking staff to ensure on-time delivery.
• Challenges the pricing and scope of work of freight forwarders.
• Ensures all legal formalities on new warehouse across territories and day to day operation of this warehouse.
