Job Purpose:
Under the direction of the Risk & Compliance Manager (coordinating with the Senior Compliance Analyst), be responsible for improving the Compliance function throughout the Foundation consistent with the approved Governance Manual, Policies and Procedures, ISO requirements and best practice.
This will involve monitoring existing governance, accounting and regulatory compliance requirements and (where required) provide guidance and assistance on interpretation and application.
Initiate and maintain effective coordination and relationships with QF Divisions, Directorates and Centres. Foster and maintain excellent relationships with Banks, service providers and consultants.
Review and report on the Internal Controls within the Finance Directorate and across the organisation where required.
Key Result Areas:
To assist and proactively work together with the Senior Compliance Analyst in order to:
Monitor, maintain and improve the Compliance function ensuring adherence to legal or regulatory requirements, Governance Manual and internal policies and procedures.
Analyze existing controls; identify gaps and weaknesses and make recommendations to strengthen them and minimize the gaps.
Support business projects and automation of business processes wherever possible.
Support process owners in the preparation and review of Finance Directorate / Governance Manual Policies and Procedures and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Administer the issuance/renewals/cancellations and monitor the usage of QF Credit Cards in line with approved Policy.
Administer and monitor strict access controls to sensitive systems e.g. SWIFT, payroll system in line with QF Business Requirements.
To liaise with QF Internal Audit and Business Process Improvement Directorate in order to support recommendations and ensure continued ISO Accreditation.
To support and comply with all QF internal Reporting Requirements (Finance, SPD, VPA etc)
Maintain excellent relationship with internal and external customers.
Support the implementation of the Risk and Insurance programs, as required.
Perform such other duties and responsibilities as shall be assigned to him/her, from time to time, by the Risk & Compliance Manager.
