Head of Project - Qatar Foundation Feb 17th 2013, 08:18 Job Purpose: The Head of Project acts as an advisor to the Business Process Improvement Director, the head of Project is responsible for the execution of procurement related projects. Key Result Areas:  Assist the BPI Director in monitoring the evaluation of the directorate's performance against the set KPIs and identify gaps and recommend improvement opportunities.  Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project.  Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.  Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.  Develops work breakdown structure, detailed project plans and schedules and is accountable for monitoring and reporting on project metrics, issues, risks and overall progress.  Creates and maintains essential project documentation, such as Communication Plan, Risk Management Plan, Roles/Responsibilities Matrix and Issues Log  Oversee and manage major projects that are related to BPI to ensure that they are being completed to the highest standards and within time and budget.  Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.  Monitors project status and assignments ensuring that deadlines and scope are met.  Works together with consultants and project sponsors to ensure business needs/requirements have been met.  Able to manage resources in a cross-functional environment and proactively coordinate resource allocation and production releases with other Project Managers  Actively manages risks and issues for assigned projects and when necessary, escalates issues to management's attention for guidance and assistance in reaching a resolution Job Details Date Posted: 2013-02-17 Job Location: Doha, Qatar Job Role: Technology/IT Company Industry: Community/Social Services/and Nonprofit Preferred Candidate Career Level: Management Degree: Bachelor's degree / higher diploma Apply Now - Jobs in Qatar - Search All Jobs
