Job Summary
• The job exists to carry full responsibility for all aspects of Site Mechanical installations, maintenance and reliability and be the Focal point for plant systems.
• Major tasks are to improve the efficiency and productivity of the plant operation and to support the Production department in troubleshooting.
• The incumbent reports to the Plant Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
• Identification of technical areas in need of improvements with regard to electro-mechanical installations. Recommending and implementing of solutions to process and operation problems.
• Provide technology backup to production supervisor and operating personnel.
• Adapt to the changing demand of advanced technology operations and train the operating crew accordingly.
• Process trouble shooting
• Maintain and organize the mechanical maintenance workshop.
• Maintain a reliable spare parts system.
• ensuring compliance with the best reliability practices
• must identify reliability data collection processes in order to sustain consistency. It is his responsibility to make sure that all equipment is performing efficiently and effectively.
• is responsible for establishing and monitoring critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring programs. In addition, he also leads teams to manage and find solutions for equipment chronicle problems.
• serves as center for monitoring maintenance and operation management teams.
• assists in new installations design as well as any facility design changes
• He works closely with counterpart internal organization.
• analyze equipment operating data and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the equipment
• He must also review the yearly business plan alongside planners and engineers in order to identify hour requirements.
• evaluates plant and equipment unscheduled downtime magnitude.
• must develop reliability strategies to monitor equipment performance.
• has the responsibility to identify opportunities for reliability enhancement.
• promotes and upholds the integration of maintenance and reliability program.
Typical work activities
• designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods;
• planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work;
• diagnosing breakdown problems;
• carrying out quality inspections on jobs;
• liaising with client departments and customers;
• arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components;
• controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
• monitoring and controlling maintenance costs;
• writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guideline
