To prepare for the print job, the press operator installs the printing plates that contain the images to be produced, loads the specified type of paper and adds ink, adjusts the press to the paper size and feeds the paper through the press cylinders.
As printing becomes increasingly automated, press operators work with computers to monitor quality, control press action and make necessary adjustments. Knowledge of ink (UV & conventional), board and chemicals used in printing operations. Must understand about operation of KBA, MAN ROLAND printing presses..
To plan in advance Pre make ready (PMR) ahead to minimize set up time. Work closely with the production supervisor to achieve the daily production plan.

Knowledge of ink, paper and chemicals, types of coatings (UV/ High gloss) used in printing operations.
Maintain general housekeeping
