Propose development of production and quality control policies, procedures and plans.
Execution of short-term & long-term production goals.
Schedule daily, weekly, monthly production activities based on orders & stock provision; ensure availability of minimal stocks.
Responsible to train the team on policies & procedures; inspect the production process to ensure specified procedures are accurately followed.
Supervise quality control procedures & ensure all products meet the specified criteria.
Ensure production efficiency through minimization of waste and optimum utilization of resources.
Determine raw material requirement on a weekly basis; follow-up on request and verify delivery of goods.
Scrutinize production costs & implement cost-effective measures in coordination with the Finance department.
Prepare a production budget to be reviewed by the management.
Maintain & update specifications (recipes) for the entire product range.
Improvise existing products (in coordination with line manager) and develop new products on a consistent basis.
Assist sections heads and their teams with any technical snags.
Conduct reviews (with line manager) to assure productions goals are accurately met; rectify deviations if any.
Responsible for on-the-job training, job rotation & staff vacation planning.
Acquaint with latest developments in bakery, ice-cream & chocolate manufacturing industry.
