Senior Category Manager - Future Career Generator Feb 20th 2013, 11:11 On behalf of a leading retail client we are seeking a Senior Category Manager to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Responsible for increasing sales and gross margin on handsets and devices, disproportionately to the rest of the retail universe, through category product planning and execution of strategic product marketing plans. Determine what types of products consumers want, where the products should be located in the store and define the product mix to maximize the shops' sales and customer satisfaction. The role consists of gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with, sales, the operator's marketing; Procurement and the vendors to ensure customer requirements are met as well as the financial objectives of the company. • Research and analyze consumer data to develop marketing strategies: take into consideration a variety of factors, including consumer needs, market size, market share, target market segment, ARPU, profitability and the competitive landscape. • Leads the category projects/processes delivering clear execution plans from concept until full implementation in-store. Ensures best in class project management and engagement of the different functions to achieve a high quality execution in store. Monitors progress and performance and flags out proactively any deviations and addresses them. • Monitors sales and maintaining professional relationships to stay informed of market trends. Analysis consumer and market research data in a meaningful manner and provides input to the marketing strategy. • Leverages category and shopper insights to deliver best practice execution plans for product and place.
