Specialist, MOEF Coordination initiate and follow-up for on time and accurate payables from Ministry of Economics & Finance (MOEF).
The job holder is accountable to maintain MOEF payable accounting related information and documents and ensure timely and accurate payment to meet working capital need to finance Qatar Rail activities.
• Assists in preparing and analyzing MOEF Payable accounting data, repots and statements.
• Applies appropriate payable accounting controls and procedures in line with corporate accounting and MOEF Procedures.
• Develops and implements procedures & tools to accurately monitor the MOEF payments process.
• Reconciles MOEF payment balances and ensures compliance with related policies, practices and regulations.
• Maintains an accurate record of MOEF payments for future reference and auditing.
• Verifies the existence, correctness and validity of all required supporting documents related to MOEF .
• Books and validates General Ledger entries related to MOEF payables in accordance with the Finance policies and procedures.
• Creates and maintains sub-ledgers master files (e.g. customers, vendors, bank).
• Coordinates and follows up with the relevant stakeholders.
• Undertakes monthly accounting reconciliations, investigates and corrects discrepancies.
• Analyses department budgets to determine impacts on MOEF payments.
• Determines the amount of working capital needed to finance Qatar Rail activities.
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position.
• Experience administering payable services via an enterprise information system, such as Oracle E-Business Suite.
