That individual is responsible for overseeing the daily work of subordinate employees, ensuring that customers have a pleasant shopping experience and completing many other duties necessary to run the store in an effective and efficient manner. Primary responsibility is to meet the store sales and profit objectives.
Review all bills monthly or daily before sending it to head office.
Follow company policy and procedures regarding guidelines, reminders, customer greetings and cleaning store.
Hold once per week meetings with all store employees regarding company guidelines.
Assist in the making of annual:
Sales objectives
Product pricing
Store budgets. and
The annual retail store profit plan
Train, motivate and develop store personnel for promotion.
responsible for receiving the goods and reporting the discrepancies to the office.
Quick responsiveness and full commitment to any work related request.
Drive awareness with customers around promotional and value add business activities by ensuring all visual merchandising and employee communication elements are in place and executed on time.
Apply efficiency measures to control and reduce costs related to store operations.
Control stock within all functional store teams (warehouse, sales, customer service, and Cashiers).
Ensure accountability around customer service standards and other key job responsibilities for all employees reporting to you.
Store Managers will have full accountability and responsibility for their stock loss percentage and current procedure will be followed when dealing with unsatisfactory results.
Facilitate in staff supervision and development, allocate duties and ensure these are carried out in a effective manner.
Store Manager in controlling and managing all aspects of the day-to-day Store operations such as:
ensuring the store is in complete readiness prior to opening and that the sales staff has correctly executed his/ her opening checklists.
check the cash intakes and ensure cash drop is captured correctly prior to banking.
tidiness of overall shop floor, stock and fitting rooms.
control and check of merchandise in and out completing relevant paperwork.
ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations at work.
maintain stock levels as agreed with the Visual Merchandisers and ensure out of stocks are kept to a minimum.
Assist with inventory counts as required.
undertake any other responsibility as assigned by the Management.
Be responsible for cash handling, security and the operation of the cash register.
Store Manager in the completion of forms, refunds, returns and control documents according to agreed control procedures.

To develop, coach and mentor the 'Best' retail operational team through establishing the right culture and environment, that 'empowers people through ongoing development and recognition'.
Motivates their staff through clear and effective communication, providing great leadership and direction.
To ensure all staff comply with the Grooming and policy to ensure the staff represent a brand that is distinguishable and recognizable.
