Main Responsibilities:
• To be an authority within the Computer Services Department, responsible for the technical specification of projects and choice of technologies;
• To interpret IT requirements and translate these into IT infrastructure solutions that can be implemented by the technical teams;
• To provide technical consultancy, expertise and advice to the technical teams and management on matters of technical architecture and infrastructure optimization, including their feasibility;
• To promote the re-use components and systems in order to ensure that these support the widest range of bank's products possible and are aligned with technology strategy;
• To ensure that IT infrastructure components delivered are supportable, cost effective, meet the IT division's strategic business needs, and align to the overall IT Strategy;
• To produce clear technical design documentation and diagrams detailing existing and proposed technical architectures;
• To make significant contributions to the two-way dialogue with technical operations teams about the ongoing development and enhancement of the technology strategy;
• To assist the Data Center Transformation Program Manager by advising technology road-maps to achieve strategic goals;
• To assist with improving the standard of technical delivery and competencies within the technical teams;
• To align architectural solutions with other IT units including collaboration on solution design to ensure fit-for-purpose end-to-end solutions;
• To analyze existing and future technology volumetrics and ensure that the architecture is fit for purpose;
• As a project manager, should take care of Scope of Work (SOW), Deliverables, Deadlines, Stakeholders, Reporting, in addition to all normal project management tasks.
