About the role:
The Commissioning Engineer would be will be responsible for :
* Executing the Projects & assignments efficiently and achieving milestones and scheduled completion
* Tracking the project progress periodically to ensure that the scheduled works and the interfaces with other services and contractors are met
* Ensuring superior levels of quality by adhering to approved design, BOQ, contractual terms and conditions, project scope and method statements
* Ensuring strict compliance to engineering standards & practices, government regulations, HSE and quality standards
* Ensuring accuracy of executed work as per approved shop drawings and adherence to engineering standards and minimise / eliminate repeat works
* Following, monitoring and recording of verbal and written instructions and design changes to protect company's interest by comparing with concept design
* Arranging and making all changes which were made during execution from the approved drawings and coordinate to provide as built drawings
* Controlling all costs including manpower (own and hired) and material within budgeted levels by careful planning and execution and achieve the budgeted margin or more
* Maintaining accurate documentation of engineers and site instructions
* Recording variations obtain approvals and submit variation claims and valuations on time
* Coordinating, negotiating and finalise claims and the technical and financial closure of the projects while endeavouring to maximise profit levels
* Training, coaching and motivating team members to maximise productivity and achieve the project milestones and completion targets
* Identifying, training needs and recommend training for team members to improve skill levels and competency and to build up a multi skilled technical team
* Ensuring discipline and acceptable behaviour with all staff
* Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, local authorities and vendors to build & maintain cordial relationship
