Is responsible for increasing the volume of the firm's sales to new and existing small and medium customers/accounts.
• Sells products to business and industrial establishments, utilizing the knowledge of the products sold;
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from various sources;
• Establishes and maintains a liaison with key customers and provides them with information on company products or services;
• Develops and maintains territory coverage, using journey plans to assure maximum coverage of the territory;
• Studies customer needs and formulates written proposals for client review;
• Maintains thorough familiarity with the market, competitors and upcoming applications;
• Displays or demonstrates products, using samples or a catalogue;
• Ensures that all new products are professionally introduced;
• Provides all necessary reports including forecasts in an accurate and timely manner;
• Conducts forecast report and updates of customer list;
• Provides input to marketing as relates to specific marketing activities in the markets where he has responsibility;
• Travels throughout the assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers;
• Ensures that all the products under his portfolio are available at all time in the outlets he is responsible of;
• Solicits orders from the clients;
• Maintains fair visibility in the Trade (as per contract) and Plannograms;
• Ensures that there are no expiries in the Trade;
• Monitories the Control over Damages from the Trade;
• Provides timely feedback to the Management;
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts;
• Provides on the job training for the Merchandisers;
• Provides timely feedback on expiries, unavailability of SKU's, damages
