About the Job:
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Technical Manager to be based in Dubai. Reporting to the Operations & Facilities General Manager your responsibilities will include:
* To effectively manage the vehicle running costs of the rental and lease vehicles throughout the business ensuring most cost effective method of repairs.
* To plan and implement improvements in Hertz quality standards to enhance overall customer experience.
* To implement effective and efficient operational procedures and provide technical operational support for future business.
To achieve this the key accountabilities of the role include the following:
* To monitor and control vehicle down time of the ensuring this is kept to a minimum reducing the cost of replacement vehicles.
* To review and define standards ensuring the department deliver vehicles in accordance to the Hertz standards and maintaining the company in the forefront of the market.
* To develop the human resources within the departments ensuring that optimum use of those resources is achieved and succession plans are established.
* Improve operational cost-effectiveness of departments by ensuring the best deployment of assets, systems, finance and human resources.
* To develop the service network to ensure that Hertz enjoy the lowest cost service solution whilst protecting the integrity of the vehicle and its warranty. To monitor the support provided by the vehicle manufacturers for warranty work and maximise the amount of goodwill available as and when required.
* To produce monthly performance management reports for all areas of responsibility.
* Recruit, motivate and develop staff ensuring that objectives are established and communicated; individual performance is supported, monitored and reviewed, to ensure manpower plans are met.
