In partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation and the Qatar Supreme Council of Health, the University of Calgary - Qatar is undertaking a multi-site initiative to gather information regarding factors that influence breast cancer screening practices amongst Arab women living in the state of Qatar. The focus of this quantitative and qualitative research study will be on Arab women, Arab men, and health care professionals' perspectives of and experience with breast cancer screening.
The Research Project Manager will be responsible for managing the study's research activities, which include but not limited to post-award research activities, dealing with sponsor funding agency (QNRF) for approval of changes to award grants, data collection, data analysis, dissemination of the research results, and assisting with the writing of proposals for future projects. Nvivo and SPSS software will be used for data analysis. Dissemination of the research results will include presentations at conferences and publications in international academic journals. Responsibilies include but are not limited to:
•day to day management of interview team and coordinator activities;
•development of the training of team with respect to facility and interview protocol, data collection procedures, data analysis process, proposal and manuscript writing.
•data analysis process - quantitative and qualitative data analysis using SPSS and NVivo;
•liaison with Hamad Medical Corporation key stake-holders and staff;
•timely communication with research key-investigators, research participants, hospital and care centre staff, families, and other stakeholders as required;
•assist data analysis, dissemination of the study's results, and other tasks as required.
