Main Duties:
• Fully in charge of the daily operation of ZAPIA's F&B and Retail outlets in order to maximize revenues and profit streams.
• Set monthly targets for the Commercial operation in order to grow the business.
• Development of all phases 1 Outlets, F&B, Retail, and Shuttle Services.
• Prepare scope of work for each outlet, supervising design process, to do plan and implementations.
• Development of new product lines for all outlets.
• Set up monthly training targets for all ZAPIA's Retail colleagues in order to ensure 100% knowledgeable colleagues and continuous growth.
• Assist with creating yearly budgets for Al Ain Zoo in order to plan and develop the Commercial Operations.
• Set up and implement regular meetings with the different levels of the operation in order to have a good communication at all levels.
• Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures in order to ensure an efficient operation.
• Liaise with the Section Head Retail and Section Head F&B on a regular basis in order to set up and implement sales and promotion strategies.
• Analyse daily, weekly and monthly results and communicate through reports and meetings to all levels in order to be proactive to business requirements.
• Set monthly, quarterly and yearly objectives in order to exceed targets and develop the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort Commercial operation.
• Lead Al Ain Zoo Commercial operation team on a daily basis in order to ensure a smooth running operation.
• Create and implement strict inventory control systems in order to maximize the profitability of Al Ain Zoo's Commercial Operations.
• To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require.
Operational and Administrational
• To assist in selecting and recruiting colleagues for the Commercial Operations department.
• To maintain regular and clear channels of communication with all levels of outlet management.
• To liaise with the outlet management on daily/weekly/monthly revenue and regarding products analyses.
• To liaise with merchandising and buying to ensure the best levels/varieties of stock are available in the outlets at all times.
• To improve and develop best practices in all areas of the Commercial Operations.
• To assist in the preparation of manuals and data needed to develop the business.
• To work with the Director of Park Operations to plan the opening of new outlets.
• To deputise for the Director of Park Operations in his absence.
• To run monthly communication meetings with Al Ain Zoo outlet Management.
• To assist in the communication and introduction of operational policies to Al Ain Zoo Retail colleagues.
• To lead and inspire Al Ain Zoo Commercial Operations Management and colleagues.
• To liaise and work wiht other departments for the smooth running and organisation of Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort Commercial Operations.
• To assist in the organisation of Training and Team Building Events for Al Ain Zoo Commercial Operations Colleagues.
Financial
• To liaise with Finance and the Section Head F&B and Section Head Retail to ensure maximum Profit and Loss results are achieved in all outlets.
• To analyse the monthly commentary for Director of Park Operations and attend the monthly presentation
• To assist with the preparation of yearly revenue budgets
• To communicate monthly targets and budgets to Commercial Operations Management.
