• Strategic Contribution:
o Develop and implement the quality plans, policies and procedures for the project department to enable the achievement of Emirate Steel agreed business objectives.
o Provide professional advice and support to all levels of the business on quality related issues to ensure the project department contributes to the optimisation of the production capability of the business
• Leadership:
o Ensure the effective achievement of the project departments quality objectives through leadership in the quality management function.
o Regularly attends departmental and company meetings to ensure effective communication between various agencies and a speedy resolution of outstanding issues.
• Budgeting & Cost Control:
o To ensure that all project related quality issues are resolved in the most cost effective manner within the agreed budgets whilst still maintaining the appropriate levels of safety and quality.
• Organisation Development:
o Ensure the communication of quality related issues are comprehensively cascaded throughout the project department.
• Operational & Maintenance Management:
o Ensure that all project related quality issues take cognisance of the operational and maintenance needs of the business.
o Ensure that all project related installations, systems and equipment adhere to internationally recognised standards in terms of safety and quality.
o Lead the review of the quality plans for all contractors working for the project department
• Safety Quality & Environment:
o Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls within the project department.
• Policies & Procedures:
o Manage the development and oversee the implementation of the policies covering all areas of project quality so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.
