Tangent International is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst for our client a leading premium drinks business with an outstanding collection of beverage alcohol brands across spirits, beer and wine across the world based in Lebanon.
To support the Commercial teams in understanding the key value drivers of today's Business and to identify new sources of value for the future:
1) to enhance decision-making capabilities for improved evaluation and issue resolution across the commercial team in the business and 2) to provide rigour to the decision making process through business partnership and intelligent application of established tools and techniques 3) optimise trade terms implementation through mitigating our trading risk, sales drivers can be audited and a clear basis for pricing decisions is provided for.
Top accountabilities
Measurement and Evaluation
• Drive NA/Levant A&P/trade spend Measurement and Evaluation outcomes from finance perspective
• Drive effective financial KPI setting as part of pre and post evaluation
• Ensure robust decision making process on basis of pre and post evaluation
• Develop tools, techniques and building capabilities within the business with the overall aim to ensure we maximise value
Beating the competition
• Drive value maximising decisions with regards to conditional trade terms investment
• Conduct profit pool and competitor analysis to broaden market understanding
• Support decision making on optimizing route to market
Commercial Support
Continuously seek out opportunities to improve business performance.
• Active participation/support during annual Joined up business and strategic planning process.
• Support MENA innovation agenda through robust financial challenge and input to planning process.
• Support New Brands / New Business Development and ad-hoc projects
• Coordinate customer invoice payment process
To succeed in this role the Commercial Finance Analyst will have:
Educated to Degree Level, Postgraduate/MBA an advantage but not essential.
7 years + Finance experience (preferable in a commercial environment) in a similar role.
Proven track record providing commercial finance support and practical application of financial skills.
Results oriented demonstrating strong analytical rigour.
High attention to detail, accuracy and customer delivery standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities with relentless & positive focus
Strong influencer with ability to flex style to work within in diverse environment.
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to create and inspire energy to make things happen.
