Head of Accounting-The National Health Insurance Company (NHIC) - Supreme Council of Health (SCH) Jun 16th 2013, 04:27 National Health Insurance Company The National Health Insurance Company (NHIC) manages and operates Qatar's social health insurance scheme. The scheme envisages health insurance coverage for citizens, foreign residents and visitors in the country. It forms one part of the realization of the National Health Strategy which foresees affordable healthcare for everyone in Qatar and offers participants a choice of providers from across the public and private healthcare providers in the country. NHIC is looking for candidates with relevant expertise and experience to fill the following position. Position : Head of Accounting Responsibilities: § Developing and implementing the Financial Accounting processes of the Company § Assisting the Manager Finance and Accounting in the deployment of finance policies, procedures and guidelines, monitoring adherence and ensuring compliance. § Ensuring the integrity and transparency of corporate transactions. § Preparing financial statements of the Company § Supporting the Manager Finance and Accounting to develop the organization's annual budget. § Using understanding of financial performance to make recommendations to the Manager Finance and Accounting § Development of financial systems of the Company § Reviewing receivables report, highlighting and risky debts and assessing the adequacy of bad debt allowance. § Interacting with internal and external audit teams in completing audits and review reports, audited financial statements for completeness, proper classification and accuracy. § Highlighting the potential risks in the Finance and Accounting Section and developing strategies or techniques to prevent or mitigate those risks. § Coaching, mentoring subordinates in the Finance and Accounting Section for the optimization of their personal potential in order to ensure that the section's objectives are met and exceeded.
