A. Material / Subcontractor Submittal / Approval
Prepare and follow in coordination with Division Head, Project Manager and Project QS for the following:
1. Sending inquiries to vendors, with careful attention to technical details.
2. Organize technical meeting with Suppliers / Subcontractors in relation to the floated inquiry / submitted proposal.
3. Preparation of technical comparison upon receipt of quotation from Suppliers / Subcontractors.
4. Provides technical inputs in accordance with client specifications pertaining to issuance of LPO / LOA with Suppliers / Subcontractors.
5. Submittal of Supplier / Subcontractor's technical documents for Client / Consultant's approval.
6. All the above (5) items are coordinated with the Planning Manager and according to project planning for material / subcontractor submittal.
7. Attend technical meetings with Client / Consultant to expedite approval of the technical submittals. And ensure close coordination with all concerned until approval or 'approved except as noted' is granted by the Client / Consultant.
B. Project Technical Support
Coordination with LTD/PM for the following:
1. Review the technical design with LE's Subcontractors / Consultant before submittal and issuance which shall be done according to the planning schedule.
2. Follow all technical meetings with Consultant / Client to finalize design issues.
3. Attend technical progress meetings with Consultant/ Client and reviews for any corrective actions.
C. Estimation and Tendering
Coordination with Estimation Manager during estimation as follows:
1. Studies, analyses and evaluates tender documents from a technical point of view in order to identify risk factors, ensuring that technical terms comply with the relevant standards in coordination with the Estimation Manager.
2. Liaise between the Estimation Engineers and Suppliers / Subcontractors to explain or understand the technical specifications of the materials and equipment.
3. Coordinate with Estimation Manager to respond to the Client's technical queries / clarification after bid submission.
D. Design
1. Prepare the hook up drawing, loop diagram, as built drawings & etc.
2. Prepares the instrumentation related designs and drawings as per the contract requirements, in coordination with the draftsman, and forwards them to the client for the final approval.
E. Procurement, Installation, Testing & Commissioning
1. Follows up on the instrumentations materials delivery, and ensure of the validity in coordination with the procurement department.
2.-Follows up with subcontractor involved in the particular project.
3. Oversees the Installation and operation of the instrumentation equipments and systems during the project phases, as per the client requirements, in coordination with the concerned project engineers and project manager.
4. Monitors and follows up on all the instrumentations works to insure the stability and quality of the installed equipments.
5. Follows up/Participates in testing and commissioning with specialized s/c the installed equipments, and ensures that they are in compliance with the standards as well as the client's requirements.
6. Follows up the preparation of the as built drawings after finalization all the instrumentation equipments and getting the client's approvals.
7. Coordinates with Estimation Manager to respond to the Client's technical queries / clarification after bid submission.
