Job description:
• Must specialize in assembly of prototype or plastic processing machines and be designated as electromechanical engineer/Technician
• Fabricate, test, analyze, and adjust precision electromechanical instruments according to blueprints and other specifications, using hand tools, metalworking machines, and precision measuring and testing instruments
• Operate machine tools, such as turning machines, milling, grinding and spark eroder to fabricate housings, fittings, jigs, and fixtures, and verify dimensions, using precision measuring instruments
• Assemble wires, insulation, and electrical components, such as resistors and capacitors, following method layouts.
• Install electrical assemblies and hardware in housing, using hand tools and soldering equipment
• Test assembled instruments for circuit continuity and operational reliability, using test instruments, such as multimeter, oscilloscope, oscillator, electronic voltmeter, and bridge.
• Analyze test results and repair or adjust instruments according to analysis
• Record test results and write report on fabrication techniques used
• Calibrate instruments according to the given specifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Electrical/Mechanical Background (Degree preferred)
• Experience troubleshooting AC/DC circuits, DC drives, printed circuit boards and programmable controllers
• Must be able to read electrical drawings/schematics and use appropriate testing equipment
• Must be able to operate various tools - drill, sander, drill press, hand tools (lathe and mill operation knowledge helpful)
• Knowledge of drawing in CAD/CAM with CAE or SolidWorks preferred
• Good written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
