Job Purpose:
To provide reliable commercial and accounting support to the automotive division through robust accounts, timely processing of core transactions, proactive risk management and ensuring compliance with the group's financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Description:
* To provide effective and timely Management Reports - financial and operational reports and dashboards to Business operations that enable automotive companies to manage their operations based on KPI.
* To deliver robust P&L and B/S reporting and analysis; and timely insight into operational performance. To provide timely advice on variances, trends and corrective action to be taken.
* To provide regular cash flow forecasts that will allow the division to review the requirement and availability of funds and prompt action as required for negotiations with principals, banks, vendors and customers. To ensure timely availability of funds and meet the cash flow reporting needs of the Group.
* Key area support: Support senior management in aspects of finance, treasury and tax, as required.
Performance Indicators:
* Reports are well designed and provide operations with the KPI that they wish to monitor and target
* Reporting and analysis are provided on time and are effective, business specific, accurate and comprehensive
* Accurate and robust forecasting that enables timely planning and sourcing of funds for the division's requirements.
Job context:
The Finance Manager is responsible for preparing financial feasibility of the operational business as well as selected business cases and scenarios, with regard to financial KPIs, treasury and tax considerations. The assessment of the viability of the businesses depends upon the reliability and accuracy of the feasibility report.
