Information Communication Technology Systems Officer (Male only) - Advanced Learning Schools Sep 17th 2013, 04:17 • Consults with users and management conducting information assessments to determine user needs and to define network solution to meet user requirements. • Network printers and local printers support. • Network applications and local applications support with error correction. • Email support and user's end basic training. • Designs and configures an enterprise environment with appropriate hardware, operation systems software, applications software, and communications components to support business requirements. • Establishes methods and procedures for use of the network systems including hardware, software, and communications devices. • Works with the information technology staff to ensure the network environment is consistent with the school objectives and is compatible with existing applications and security requirements. • Coordinates and ensures the standard implementation of policies, procedures, and systems operations with the ICT Manager. • Writes and/or maintains up-to-date documentation for network software and operational procedures. • Develops hardware configuration plans for network systems. • Reassesses the effectiveness of network hardware, software, and communications performance. • Develops a distributed processing plan. • Evaluates and recommends network software for the enterprise system. • Analyzes and resolves network hardware, software, and communications problems using diagnostic software and/or technical troubleshooting processes. • Monitors the hardware to ensure it is properly maintained. • Conducts on-going network system audits to evaluate the utility and efficiency of the system's hardware, software, and communications components and the effectiveness in meeting management information needs. • Develops and maintains disaster recovery procedures for the network and network resources. Performs related work as required. • Systems & Network Administration for Windows and Linux Servers. • Basic Database Administration Skills to manage MS SQL Server, MYSQL Servers. • Backup Strategies and implementation of back up operations.
