The successful incumbent will maintain the best relationship with key stakeholders and regulators in Saudi Arabia. He will be responsible for developing regulatory strategies within own area, construct relationships internally with the Communication Information Technology Commission (CITC) and other telecom companies within the Kingdom.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Build and maintain the best relationship with key stakeholders: Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Interior, Saudi Monetary Authority, SAGIA, STC and other telecom companies in Saudi Arabia
• Must fully understand the CITC role and its regulations
• In-charge of applications and approval requests towards regulating authorities
• Instill a culture within the organization whereby Virgin Mobile Saudi is the most innovative telecommunications company
• Find new regulatory opportunities for expansion into new business areas
• Educate and convince the relevant authorities about new business models
• Acquire new types of licenses such as VoIP, international gateway, mobile money, or ISP
• Participate in or conduct regulatory audits of the company as required
• Meet with CITC and support or undertake negotiations on issues relating to the area of expertise; in-charge of regulatory issues with CITC
• Maintain awareness of international practice / developments in own area of expertise so as to transfer knowledge within the Virgin Mobile Saudi organization and guide development of strategy to implement
