Job Purpose:
Lead large multidisciplinary EPCM teams managing the execution of multiple projects ranging to $1000 MM TIC
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Providing day to day oversight and direction to the multiple EPCM teams
Manage all aspects of client communication and interface with clients. Demonstrated and validated experience managing client relationships, negotiations, and communication essential.
Demonstrated command of traditional and novel contract forms, and demonstrated understanding and implementation of contracts.
Manage the preparation of proposals. As Proposal Manager lead teams to develop execution plans and strategies to deliver quality and cost effective services to our clients while meeting project profitability and performance targets.
Develop Project Execution and Chartering Plans, to support effective, timely, and coordinated deployment of project resources.
Lead the overall Lead regular project review meetings, identify problem areas and ensure that corrective actions are initiated.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports
Working with technical managers and leaders, ensure that that technical and support resources required to meet project requirements are deployed on projects.
Monitor performance against plan and institute corrective actions and recovery plans as required to ensure project goals are achieved.
As a Project Delivery Leader and member of the Management Team, model exemplary behavior regarding safe work performance and attention to health and quality standards.
Lead Post Implementation Reviews upon completion of projects and identify critical technical and commercial issues and the way they were resolved.
Prepare a Lessons Learned report at the end of each stage of each project.
Prepare and provide close out reports at the end of each project.
Act as mentor to developing Project Managers, Project Engineers, technical, and support staff
Basic Qualifications
Job Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university with minimum twenty (15) years of relevant experience in the oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
At least 10 years of experience as a project manager in the industry, with a minimum of 2 years in the MENA region
Project manager, either as EPCM, EPC, or PMC, on at least one project with a TIC of $100 million or larger.
Experience in remote areas, desert environments, and the Middle East an asset
Must have familiarity with latest project management methods practices and tools, Quality and HSE implementation practices, and environmental engineering aspects.
Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Excellent command of written and spoken English. Strong oral communication and presentation skills.
Command of Arabic, Chinese, and/or French an asset.
