Supply Chain Director
The Supply Chain Director will be a member of the leadership team and will be responsible for all aspects of Procurement, Manufacturing and Distribution Logistics function of the organization.
We produce a range of well-known personal care products such as Baby Cheramy, Clogards, Velvet, Kumarika, Gold, Pro Sport, etc. These products are major players in their respective category.
The key responsibilities will include:
• Developing an efficient supply chain team through a healthy bench strength of leaders
• Facilitating business strategies through supply chain initiatives
• Driving operational excellence
The position will have a team of senior managers reporting into it.
Candidates should have a degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Production Engineering or Science from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or overseas. Age: between 38-48 years. A minimum of 10 years Supply Chain management experience preferably in the FMCG business, with at least 5 years at a senior manager level. Managers from other organized manufacturing areas may also apply. Experience of handling a large work force is important. Foreign training/exposure would be highly desirable.
He/She should have excellent people skills coupled with strong technical, analytical and negotiation skills, while fluency in written and spoken English and Sinhala is a must.
Computer literature, highly numerate and a desire for process discipline are considered desirable attributes to this position. Hands on experience in implementing GMP, 5S, Kaizen and ERP systems will be a definite plus.
