Block Plant (MASA) Manager - Ahmed Ali Madkhali Group Jan 18th 2013, 02:07 Summary: Direct the production and distribution operations of concrete block manufacturing plant by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Maintain safe work environment through a variety of means including worker training and safety inspections. Determine inventory levels, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments based on plant capacity and product orders. Develop and recommend budgets for supplies, materials, and human resources based on efficient use of materials, labor and equipment to meet production targets. Authorize expenditures in accordance with approved budget. Negotiate materials prices with suppliers. Review operations and confer with staff to resolve production or processing problems. Set and monitor product standards to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality. Design and review manufacturing processes or methods to ensure high product quality while minimizing costs. Talk with customers and industry representatives to promote products and services and gather suggestions for improvements. Reviews operations of competing organizations and develops plans to maintain or improve competitive position of plant. Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff. Receive and share information with supervisor, subordinates and others. Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Resolve personnel grievances in accordance with approved policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain production reports, personnel records and maintenance records. Other duties may be assigned.
