The Position: The job holder is required to research and identify new business opportunities for dnata Travel, based on general principles set by senior management. Manage the implementation of the new projects through the various business units till they are successfully established.

The accountabilities will include:


To research, identify and recommend new business opportunities (mergers and acquisitions) for dnata Travel. This could also be through some of the existing acquisitions i.e. Travel Republic. Also look for profitable avenues for the expansion of dnata Travel both horizontally as well as vertically in the product / service value chain creating profitable revenue opportunities for dnata
Evaluate and recommend new business opportunities (and respond to those identified by the senior management) on a global basis, prepare/evaluate feasibility studies and make recommendations to senior management.
Identify new markets for the existing dnata products and create new products in new markets for dnata Travel with a view to expand our net contribution and diversify business to new growth areas.
Evaluate the risks and exposures to dnata Travel as a result of specific new projects and recommend and implement solutions to the Project sponsor in order to mitigate the same. This will require the jobholder to evaluate a range of parameters including economic, financial and political issues.
Recommend and implement optimum legal and financial structuring for the new projects in conjunction with legal and finance in order to minimise the Group?s exposures and thus secure our investment. Ensure profitability of the projects through appropriate structuring.
Formulate implementation plans to ensure new projects are completed on time and within budget. Identify, along with the appropriate stakeholders in the line management departments, the resources required for each project. Co-ordinate the activities of vendors, internal and external service providers to ensure that services are delivered professionally in line with dnata Travel standards and at the lowest possible cost.
Manage the transitional arrangements for new entities, including internal/external technical and operational expertise and ensure the smooth implementation of the project, up to the point at which appropriate line management is in place.
Identify opportunities for synergies across the wider group as part of the transitional arrangements, to ensure cost reduction and revenue generation opportunities are captured.
