Data Manager - National Guard Health Affairs Jan 19th 2013, 13:13 Within the mission, vision and values of Saudi Arabian National Guard-Health Affairs, oversee and interpret the collection of a complex clinical information, including statistical values; provide advice and consultation regarding implications, and make recommendations as necessary. Conduct needs assessments; design and create databases; participates in testing and implementation of new applications or enhancement to existing systems. • Supervise an absolute management of the database management procedures, allocated customers, and associated project management. Help identifying customer needs and be proactive in keeping professional relationship. • Develop and design methods and procedures for collecting, organizing, interpreting, and classifying information for input into computer and retrieval from computer, utilizing knowledge of symbolic language, optical or pattern recognition, database construction and retrieval methods. • Develop alternative designs to resolve problems in input, storage or retrieval of information, utilizing knowledge of electronic data processing principles. • Perform Need Assessment activities and work with other information system personnel to determine feasibility of development of new databases or enhancements to existing databases. • Develop specifications for data capture and input; monitor input to ensure consistency, quality and integrity of data. • Provide technical assistance and training to the department's authorized staff in the use of application systems. • Make recommendations for online program enhancements; assist in testing and implementation of modifications and enhancements. • Supervise and oversee the work of programming and date-entry staff. • Develop and implement section's Policies and Procedures. • Produce required reports as is requested by the administration, researchers and/or clinicians. • Plan, supervise and run various validation and quality control tests to different databases and registries. • Perform other job related duties as required.
