About the Role
 Assist the management team by offering possible technical solutions to the clients/inhouse technical problems/services
 Assist the marine services business ensuring that correct processes are used and standards maintained and enforced
 Ensure vessel and specifications are available, sighted and reviewed to ensure operations are commercially/technically sound
 Ensure that the "Contractors" follow the same standards in repair
 Involved in regular meetings with boat crews, engineers and office personnel to identify what is happening, identify and rectify problems that would affect the forward programme
 Assist in the management of all operations both onshore and while at sea ensuring all marine operations are carried out safely and to work within the code of the marine services division; follow all marine codes of practice
 Ensure all technical requirements for vessel operations are met including all spares and repairs operations
 Identify key machinery that may need replacing with a "payback time period" and justification report
 Educate and pass on technical engineering excellence training/skills to the local workforce
 Ensure that Marine Services comply with QMS and to maintain the procedures and instructions and records
 Work as part of the marine services team to assist in delivery of all services for passenger and vehicular movement relating to all maintenance/operation of all vessels
 Assist the Marine Services Manager and his deputy in all areas of boat maintenance and safety operations

Key Responsibilities include
 All Technical aspects of the project, be the "hands on" engineering and support to the production staff including regular yard/project walks
 Communication and dissemination regarding the technical implications of the projects
 Interface with the client on all technical matters from start to finish
 Assist the Manager in the periodic reviews of Tariffs
 Ensure all section work is inspected personally/verified as acceptable prior to passing to the client/next section
 Ensure all clients concerns/complaints are reviewed/passed to line management and acted upon
 Act on own initiative to improve the process/projects and inform Management of any suggestions for consideration with cost factors
 Attend Periodic Group Safety Meetings and Weekly Safety Meetings and regular inspections of the Marine Services to ensure all workforce complies with any/all Safety updates
 Ensure the various "Internal Projects" assigned in Production are completed in a timely and cost effective manner
 Report unsafe acts/instances requiring immediate disciplinary action
 Assist in the "regular appraisals" of Production personnel and update qualifications/approvals
 Understand and following the agreed goals and annual targets for the position
 Complete reports including - boat operations in progress, other reports as requested by Management
