Position Overview:
Ensure smooth vehicle maintenance workflow methods in workshops through workshop capacity planning, improving staff efficiency and productivity, maintaining safety and health work environment, developing staff competencies and setting maintenance programs to improve customer satisfaction and reduce cost.
Essential Duties:
- Plan, administer and control the needed workshop and body shop requirements of equipment and supplies in coordination with the After Sales Manager.
- Conduct regular checks on all tools & equipments to ensure that all are maintained properly as per manufacturer's specification.
- Ensure that preventive maintenances are done for all company vehicles as per the preventive maintenance schedule.
- Ensure that all accident vehicles are repaired under insurance or by charging customer with the cost of repairs or by both. Ensure contract conditions have been followed for charging customer in all cases.
- Take suitable actions to control back jobs within the permitted level.
- Reduce repair cost by utilizing warranty policies to the maximum extend.
- Analyze repair cost of vehicle and recommend suitable actions to Service Manager to control the cost to the minimum level.
- Monitor the level of dead stock and report to management when it goes beyond the permitted level fixed by management.
- Be responsible for effective utilization of replacement fleets and keep replacement levels within the permitted level. Resolve problems related to replacement fleets and timely report to manager all issues that cannot be resolved.
- Ensure accurate data related to contract staff in terms of licenses and gate passes and report to the Management on monthly basis.
- Ensure timely follow-up for additions/reductions of vehicles and manpower during the contract period have been made and all contractual obligations are met.
- Identify all traffic violations for all replacement vehicles on monthly basis and ensure that no traffic violation marked as idle.
- Prepare and review various reports, such as daily business reports, overdue reports and location performance reports and recommend appropriate actions to improve the level of performance.
- Ensure 100% utilization of Car Pro system service, inventory and vehicle movement transactions.
- Prepare reports and briefs for the management evaluating technical services, team productivity, assets utilization and efficiency.
- Prepare preventive maintenance and calibration plans for all required workshop equipments and tools as per ISO requirements and ensure that they are performed periodically as per the plan.
- Ensure use of company fleet only for official lawful use. Any vehicle usage by staff shall be as per Non Revenue Movement (NRM) on the system.
- Perform related responsibilities as assigned by the After Sales Manager.
