MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architectrural/Civil experience with specialisation in finishing and landscaping.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specifications, and QMS requirements.
- Initiate quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
- Manage the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation, and operations activities, including the following:
- plan duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules;
- identify and develop QA/QC personnel certification requirements and continuing education/training needs; and
- provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to all QA/QC personnel.
- Take full responsibility for hold-point releases once all QMS functions have been completed and the equipment is ready to go into the next work stage.
- Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies.
- Manage construction processes plant equipment, inspection and personnel certification and QMS internal audits.
- Field construction quality control oversight on vertical construction projects.
- Prepare submittals and manage same through the approval process.
- Develop quality control reports, post construction reports and detailed progress reporting (in house).
- Identify forces required to execute task components.
- Assure, to the best of your abilities that all materials, workmanship and construction are in full compliance with the contract plans and specifications, and all applicable building codes.
- Require the defective work or material be corrected or remove until made compliant.
- Manage the quality control organization to control the quality products (aggregates, additives, asphalt, concrete) before and during manufacture and at the customer site using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality and to minimize costs and achieve optimum quality and efficiency for the company.
- Direct and coordinate activities of the ready mix, asphalt, and aggregates quality control group within the division.
- Lead organization in product selection for testing at specified stages in production process and product testing for variety of qualities, such as, performance, strength and chemical characteristics.
- Perform inspections as needed. Prepare and maintain inspection and performance records daily.
