OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
Define, develop, test, analyze and maintain new and existing IT equipment, network & communication in support of Ma'aden Gold Co. business requirements. Plans their implementation. Monitors the performance of the systems, promotes and improves their functioning. Coordinate the maintenance, development and upgrading of enterprise services with Corporate Core. Coordinate contractual arrangements with contractors and vendors and rectification of faults.
Responsibilities:
Operational Activities
• Ensure that all IT equipments is effectively operated and maintained. Manage installation of all equipment assets. Includes planning for the replacement and upgrading of equipment, providing advice and instructions to users as required and allocating responsibilities for any damage that may occur to equipment software and hardware. Also, utilize appropriate register and processes regarding physical reallocation of assets.
• Maintain the LAN and WAN operations throughout the Company sites and ensure they're live and functioning properly.
• Ensure that all IT equipments, networks & communications and related software are up to date.
• Ensure safety & security of Ma'aden Gold network and electronic data to be saved and archived against any computer threats.
• Communicate with software and hardware vendors with respect to faults, maintenance or services, and manages maintenance contracts of hardware and software. Ensure all contractual maintenance arrangements are adhered to and provide solutions for cost optimization.
• Coordinate and follow up with IT Corporate for all IT Operation shared services to ensure services are provided and matching requirements.
Meeting with users
• Coordinate regular meetings with Ma'aden Gold Co. users to discuss operational issues and new requirements and prepare operational plans for implementation including analysis, design, estimated budget and schedule.
• Coordinate regular meeting with Ma'aden Corporate IT to discuss shared projects and services and make sure that we are in line with Ma'aden Corporate IT plans and strategy.
Assistance
• Assist in the definition, development and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables and technical specifications in coordination with business owners.
• On call availability for system support if needed.
• Complete any IT related job as requested by IT management.
Training
• Provide and coordinate required training for end users as necessary.
• Train & develop IT individuals on regular activities as required.
Projects & Reports
• Manage IT Operation projects from proof of concept till implementation phase.
• Prepare progress reports and provides recommendations regarding any required changes or enhancements to enable efficient and effective decision making by management.
