Technical Support Engineer – Wellbore Intervention

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide skilled level support for the Completions and Wellbore Intervention product line, technical selling, key field product application, well prognosis and/or completion product performance.
Assist with prototype tool applications and new product market introductions.
Investigate unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative action.
May be lead engineering/technical position in region or area. (Field Service Personnel not included).
Handle special projects as assigned.
Determine Equipment Specifications/Ratings, drawings, running procedures and equipment compatibility for the sales team according to customer requirements
Create Product Quotation Sheets for Request for Quotes in support of the Geo-market Quotations Team.
Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.
Maintain / Support current Wellbore Intervention contracts.
Active in developing the Wellbore Intervention business and growing market share.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 5+ year’s related experience.
Minimum 2 year’s experience working on drilling or completions rigs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Exceptional knowledge in wellbore intervention products, including but not limited to: Open Hole Fishing, Wellbore Clean Out, Remedial and Simulation, Through Tubing Inflatables, Casing Exits
Knowledge of open hole and cased hole completions system
Field experience on drilling and completion rigs.
Thorough understanding of down hole hydraulics
Able to work with little supervision and to work well with the team.
Good Time management skills.
Proficient use of computer based programs related to application of products.
Good negotiation and sales skills
Good problem solving skills.
Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
