Job Purpose:
• To provide a regular financial reporting system for the Bank in Dubai complying with best accounting standards;
• To fulfill the reporting requirements of the Bank Head Office and to assist with the setting of accounting standards for UAE reporting;
• To ensure compliance with regulatory reporting returns for both the UAE Central bank & the Foreign Central Bank.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- To prepare the regular financial reporting, elegating responsibilities as appropriate. To include, amongst others, the daily profitability & balance sheet report.
- Prepare Group Financial Reporting Pack for Dubai's branch and annual budget and statutory accounts.
- To analyse and prepare the monthly commentaries on results for internal and Head Office uses.
- To act as department advisor on systems developments.
- To respond to accounting requirements on general ledger package and related peripheral software, making recommendations as appropriate for improvement/development.
- To provide professional accounting advice to the operational departments within the Bank.
- To provide an efficient expense payment and purchase ledger system for the company's expenses.
- To provide input to consolidation of Bank results, and prepare accounts for Dubai Branch.
- To ensure that accurate and prompt reports are made to all supervisory bodies and that full compliance is made with all supervisory and statistical requirements.
- To manage Central Bank of UAE & Foreign Central Bank regulatory changes, controlling the effects on the business.
- To carry out ad-hoc work as requested by the Financial Controller.
- To prepare, in conjunction with Financial Controller, quarterly financial reports to the Board
