Rigging Foreman/Rigging Supervisor - Brunel Energy Sep 19th 2013, 07:23 Our Client is a Global Oil & Gas, Exploration and Production Operating Company has a requirement for: Rigging Foreman/Rigging Supervisor Job Communication The Candidate should be able to demonstrate the following competancies in communication and have a: Knowledge of trade terminology (i.e lifting equipment, lifting accessories, slings, shackles, wires, ropes, chains, cables, nets etc.). Knowledge of communication equipment such as two-way radios, telephones etc. in English. The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with other trades people, foreman, sub-ordinates etc. in English. The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with non-trades people such as production, engineers, safety pesonnel etc. The ability to interact and direct others in English in all communication The ability to participate in meetings in English. The ability to understand and issue instructions. The ability to ask and answer job related questions. Interprets drawings and specifications The Candidate should be able to demonstrate the following competancies and ability to read and interpret drawings and have the: Knowledge of types and layout of drawings such as structural, layout, plant, equipment detail drawings etc. Ability to gather information (i.e.weight, centre of gravity etc.) from multiple drawings. Knowledge of abbreviations and drafting symbols such as lines, piping and fitting symbols, and control symbols commonly used. Candidates should be able to: Gather and interpret information from multiple drawings, data sheets, etc. Visualize drawings in 3 dimensions. Determine SWL, WLL of lifting equipment and structures. Identify types of lifting equipment from drawings. Determines location of lifting equipment and operation The Candidate should be able to demonstrate the following competancies and ability to locate piping, equipment and structures and has the: Ability to conduct pre-task worksite inspections. Knowledge of lifting equipment and lifting accessories. Ability to relate drawings to structures and equipment. Ability to relate line and equipment numbering systems to drawings and vice-versa.
