Senior Project Engineer - Brunel Energy Sep 19th 2013, 06:52 Our Client is a LNG Operating Company has an immediate requirement for: Senior Project Engineer Job Description : - Responsible for the overall management and execution of facilities - Brownfield modification/retrofit projects for Train 1-7, AKG, Offsites, Offshore and Utilities Asset facilities for RGPMS Category IV- Category V projects (less than US$50M value) per the updated project categorization matrix while adhering to and optimizing Safety, Health and Environment (SHE), Quality, Cost, Schedule and Business Controls requirements. - Jointly accountable with Company Operation Technical Department (OTD) pre-Gate 2 focal point for the optimization of pre-Gate 2 (Concept Engineering) project scope, development of optimal execution strategy with schedule enhancement and cost optimization efforts while ensuring quality deliverables and expeditious Gate 2 handover. - Lead post Gate 2 activities and their deliverables including but not limited to DBM development (Front End Engineering Design), funding requirements, project controls, detailed design, procurement of materials, contracting, fabrication, erection, hook-up and commissioning start-up. - Prepare the required deliverables related to and secure Gate 3, Gate 4 and Gate 5 approvals. - The position will have direct responsibility for including but not limited to SHE, environmental protection, regulatory compliance, quality, expenditures and schedule related to assigned projects, generally starting after the completion of Gate 2 (start of Front End Engineering Design) till Gate 5 (start-up of the modified facilities). - Coordinate the overall and support the generation of key technical and execution inputs for the execution of Company Agreements with external stakeholders. - Develop complete scope of work for the engagement of Contractors and provide the required amount of surveillance and/or supervision on Contractors' work. - Interface with other departments, ExxonMobil, Qatar Petroleum, RLIC, and other counterparts as necessary to ensure appropriate projects' communication and other requirement. - Represent Project Execution Section in Asset Level Team Meeting to present Asset-wide projects' progress report, overall planning and managing of projects and support Assets in work prioritization. - Support coaching of junior engineers including NDP graduate engineers. - This position requires minimal work supervision and will report to the Train 1-7 and/or AKG, Offsites, Offshore and Utilities Projects Heads.
