About Your Job:
The Crewing Officer is a member of the Crew Control shift team. Working within the Operations Control Centre, they are responsible for monitoring crew compliance and changing crew rosters to match operational requirements <48 hour prior to flight report time. Implementation of changes need to be made within short time constraints giving due consideration to operational KPI's. The role is 24/7 shift work and requires regular communication with Flight Deck and Cabin Crew, the Operations Control Centre (OCC) team and Network Operations Management.
You will be maintaining crew regulatory compliance in line with QCAA regulations. Ensuring the correct crew complements are assigned to each flight. Additionally, monitoring operational status and assisting with contingency plans when necessary. Actively participate and cooperate in disruption recovery strategies of the OCC. Allocate crew efficiently to duties considering resource availability and operational risk. Ensuring crew are notified of duty changes at appropriate times in a professional and courteous manner. Implement changes to crew hotel, surface transport and positioning flight requirements as required. You will be advising the Crewing Duty Manager of any serious issues or events that arise. Support post-flight analysis of major events, assisting with the review of team performance. Directly involved with the hand-over on shift changes to ensure continuity of information. Actively contribute to the Crew Control log detailing notable events that occur on shift.
About You:
You should be a graduate with atleast 3 years of work experience in Crew Control would be desirable, with minimum of High School education. Problem solving skills. Ability to perform under high pressure. Understanding of crew resource processes, theories and methodologies is desirable. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (esp. Flight Time Limitations (FTL) and training) is desirable. Intermediate level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills. Knowledge of crew resource tracking/management systems is desirable. English communication skills (written and spoken).
