ABOUT THIS JOB
This job is Sales Manager for PPS in the Middle East.
The Sales Manager will be expected to build and lead a strong sales team whose objective is to achieve or exceed revenue and field margin targets, develop business in new areas and with new customers and generally help increase the company’s business and image in the area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Developing and delivering on revenue and field margin targets
Managing product line sales and account representatives.
Developing and implementing marketing and business plans for new business.
Acquiring new customers and penetrating new markets.
Identifying and exploiting sales opportunities through constant customer contact
Maintaining client contact throughout projects to understand customer requirements, evaluate customer feedback and transmit feedback to operations personnel
Assisting the Tendering Team in bidding for projects
Updating the Revenue Plan and Backlog and Opportunities spread sheets so the company can make decisions on future workloads and price strategies.
Compiling and updating accurate market data including market size, market share as well as market/business trends for the long term planning cycle.
Understanding and using enterprise software such as Toolbox, BHOS and the tender database
Reviewing the profitability of each current PPS market segment and providing plans to the BD Manager proposed price book revisions
Adopting current best practice and driving continuous improvement in the Middle East tendering format / presentation
Being fully aware of and complying with all relevant enterprise and customer HSE, ethics, contract and quality standards
Promoting the enterprise’s technical and commercial image by preparing presentations for clients.
Keeping up-to-date on new developments and technologies in the industry.
Implementing systems with the MEC sales team to control and reduce commercial and technical risk in all tenders / proposals
Carrying out other tasks as directed by the Area Manager
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years operational experience in the industry in PPS or related services
Recognised technical qualification
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good personal discipline, planning and organisational skills
Flexibility, enthusiasm and commitment
Willingness to travel to all countries in the Middle East
Extensive understanding of the sales process
Ability to build strong relationships and close business deals.
Ability to build and lead a strong sales and business development organization.
Thorough understanding of customer requirements and market conditions.
Good knowledge of products and services.
Excellent negotiating and leadership skills.
Excellent knowledge of commercial and contract language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree. Good knowledge of process and pipeline services including nitrogen helium leak testing, purging, chemical cleaning and pipeline pre-commissioning.
