Department Description: This vacancy is in Motorola Solutions’ MELE Engineering group’. The group's main business is the design and implementation of mission-critical digital mobile communications systems for professional users such as public safety organisations, major industrial complexes, utilities and public transport. With the growth of data services, fixed and mobile wireless networks optimised for applications such as live mobile video transmission are supplementing the core activities of voice and narrowband data systems.

Projects are varied in scope, ranging from a single-site installation for an industrial facility, to a turnkey nationwide communications system costing tens or hundreds of millions of dollars.
The MELE Services team is distributed across the Middle East, Egypt and Libya, and has engineers based in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt and the UK. The wider team comprises Sales, Project Management, System Engineering, Field Engineering and supporting personnel working together in a high performance culture, often with demanding timescales and high customer expectations. Responsibilities/Expectations: Process Agent and Process Governance
•Provide training to department members on the content and questions expected during Internal Audits.
•Provide advise on implementing Continuous Improvement Plans.
•Carry out Process Agent duties for the successful internal audit and closure of any internal audits actions.
•Provide end to end process goverance on the key processes used by the department, for example B&Q process, CIR process.
Customer Issue Resolution
•Support, coordinate and assist the CSM with C3 cases, especially where an in depth technical understanding of the issue is required.
•Provide assistance on the affect of cancellation, stop ship, TIB and SPUs on the current systems in active operations and system which are currently under construction.
•Manage cases through the Crash Track, FRB and SPU development process. Be the department contact for TDACC and ESSC.
Resource Management and Quotations
• In conjunction with the B&Q team and System Engineering Manager assess the availability of SE resource for new presales project. Try to balance the work loads of the different team members and have an understanding of which projects may overrun. Understand if a project finishes early which projects can be moved forward. Maintain contact with SE team.
• Develop templates for quotations of our System and Field Engineering resources, gathering the accepted durations of various relevant work packages.
• Attend Kick off meetings and populate the first draft quotation template which will be passed on to the lead engineer for customization.
Metrics Reporting
• Analyse the support we are providing to our customers and understand the process flow and time elements of each stage of the delivery. Map these and understand trends and suggest improvements to processes where necessary.
• Monitor internal and external suppliers/service providers SLAs and report on any deviations
Knowledge Skills: The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, in-depth knowledge of methodologies, tools and Quality Systems.
