Job Information & Purpose:
Reports to: Project Execution and Engineering Manager

Leads and directs all the engineering related activities for new/ potential downstream/ industrial projects for Alwaseeta, including supporting business development teams in technical analysis of pre-feasibility studies, managing FEED, technical evaluations of bids and the project management support during execution and commissioning.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Assists the Director Strategy and Investment in the technical aspects of business evaluation and analysis
 Leads the FEED studies on approved opportunities, supports technical evaluation of bids, monitors technical performance of contractors, both in FEED and execution stages
 Support M&A target evaluations purely on technical parameters
 Monitor and implement execution strategies, KPIs and systems for all sub-functions and assess any strategic challenges as they evolve.
 Represent and uphold Alwaseeta's brand image in all external platforms and projects as well as professional and industry forums.
 Develop and maintain the policies and procedures of Alwaseeta engineering operations and ensure their alignment with the overall business objectives.
 Review of Feasibility Report for finalization of scope of FEED/ Basic Design Document
 Review of scope of Feed / Basic Design Document to be prepared by Design Consultant
 Review of Draft FEED / Basic Design document prepared by Consultant & its finalization
 Review & finalization of Contracting Strategy
 Review and Finalization of technical volume for tenders
 Participate in technical specific negotiations with vendors, contractors and consultants.
 Conduct discussions with departmental HODs during project planning, during risk assessment, scheduling, budget preparation and during ongoing execution
 Review of change order requests from engineering perspective for approval (if requirement) and finalization of recommendations for Project Execution and Engg. Manager
 Supports evaluation of technical responses to RFP's in coordination with the procurement and general tender committee (GTC)
 Ensures compliance with QHSE standards and guidelines
 Review EPC contrat documents and drawings prepared by the design consultant.
 Coach and mentor direct subordinates to develop their skills and ensure continuous people development.
 Adequately represent the leadership of Alwaseeta to the employees within the department ensuring employees understand the overall strategy and demonstration of the required corporate values.
 Provide formal and informal feedback to ensure that the highest level of performance is achieved
 Assesses the performance of direct reportees; providing them with regular feedback and ensuring appropriate motivation with a view to enhancing overall organizational performance
 Ensure compliance with the performance management process and its linkages to learning and development, compensation, promotion, career development and succession planning.
 Review team performance and oversee linkages with compensation, promotion, career and succession planning.
