Clearance Officer Jan 8th 2013, 13:41 - Role Purpose: The objective of this position is to ensure the goods are cleared from Port in compliance with Customs Regulation and Tamer Clearance policy. - Key Accountability • To prepare the files for custom submission • To enter the Tariff Codes for each invoice in customs system (Saudi EDI) • To report and update issue related to customs clearance on time • To get DGR approval (Dangerous Goods) upon request of Logistics • To attend and witness the inspection process of Customs Authority and SFDA • To obtain all required approval & document related to import and re-export formalities • To coordinate with transporter for shipment release • Collect DO on time (Air shipments) • Close follow up on 2-8 and special handling shipment (Cold chain shipment) • Submission of Expenses upon clearance • To follow and control Undertaking, Customs Declaration (Bayan), Custom Duties as per the Tamer Policy • Provide needed support for rejected shipment which include, Full rejection, Partial rejection for completion of destruction or re-export. • Obey the rules of Port Authority, SFDA & Customs Authority reflecting goods image of Tamer • Build and maintain good relation with Customs & SFDA officials.
