CH2M HILL - Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist - Doha, Qatar
Job Purpose:
We are actively seeking a creative, self motivated and highly talented Geotechnical Engineer for immediate employment to our geotechnical team in the Doha office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in geotechnical engineering specific to civil and environmental consulting services. CH2M will provide the successful candidate with challenging projects and the opportunity to assist in our major infrastructure projects in helping Qatar deliver its 2030 vision.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Work with some independence whilst under supervision in performing design and fieldwork assignments.
Perform geotechnical computations utilizing calculations and design software where appropriate.
Prepare/supervise the preparation of technical reports and drawings.
Procure and supervise geotechnical field work
Some travel required
Basic Qualifications
Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civils or Geology with a Masters Degree in geotechnical engineering/engineering geology.
5-10 yrs experience in design and site roles including geotechnical investigation and geotechnical design.
Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software.
Knowledge of geotechnical design software including AGS databases.
Good communicator and able to work effectively within a team as well as independently
Middle East experience preferred but not essential.
