Zaya requires a new Head of Business Development to lead and oversee the develop-ment and growth of profitable new business and to develop and maintain effective key agency relationships. This position will also liaise with key marketing and business de-velopment team members to ensure business growth through directing and managing business growth, lead generation, lead maximization and sales activities to ensure the-se are maximized in accordance with the organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Identify existing and future market opportunities
Determine if the existing markets and future markets will be profitable and how to optimize each opportunity for growth and profitability
Develop sales strategy to capitalize on each market that makes the cut

Plan, organize, direct and control sales staff to meet these objectives
Yearly reviews of the strategies for effectiveness
Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies.
Maximize sales people potential by ensuring they have the training, tools, passion, engagement.
Offer them the coaching, counseling, advice, support, motivation or information they need in order to help them meet their sales objectives.
Support the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organi-zation maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability
Liaise with other executive heads on the implementation of the company's strategic and opera-tional plans
• At the beginning of each month, counsel with each salesperson to establish realistic sales ob-jectives for the month and action plan.
• Establish a sales objective for the department each month and display it for all to see.
• Achieve forecasted sales by following (and, if necessary, adjusting) your written plan of ac-tion.
• Monitor each salesperson's daily performance and compare it with that month's objective and year over year improvement
• Understand departmental financial data and tactical management and new business develop-ment results to determine what is happening in your department. Review financial data that affects your department's profit centers.
Competitor and market analysis
Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the Mar-keting department
Present a budget for board approval and prudently manage resources within those budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate governance guidelines
Constructively handle, with a positive and solution finding method, of all customer complaints related to your department.
Build and lead an effective and cohesive management team
