Description and Desired Qualifications
Job Purpose:
To support the SOC Project (462674) with project planning and scheduling functions.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Thoroughly understand the principles of cost control, Planning / scheduling, and estimating. Understand the relationships between the project controls functions – estimating, planning / scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
Thoroughly understand, define, and identify schedule classifications and levels.
Coordinates and manages all project planning, monitoring and production control related with the Client/Contractors executing.
Assist in the development of project work plans and schedules that support the project/business group work processes and milestones.
Establish Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Project Control Strategy, Master Schedule and Action Plan for Planning Deliverables issuance.
Prepare and adopt necessary tools / methods to effectively monitor and control project progress, schedule and resources, so as to ensure the efficient and timely achievement of project milestones / key dates.
Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness and appropriateness of planning and scheduling information collected from project team or Contractors and advises of significant exceptions or potential problems to proposed and approved conditions, initiates early warnings and alerts management with proposed corrective actions.
Create client and internal status reports that effectively communicate project status and trends.
Issue reports under the direction of Project Controls Manager
Basic Qualifications
Key qualifications of this position includes:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in FEED and EPC Projects with increasing responsibility.
Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
Should possess excellent knowledge and skills in Primavera 6, and have some knowledge in Pertmaster or any equivalent Schedule Risk Analysis software.
Possess good verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to communicate complex project controls information to team members.
