Basic Function:
Is responsible for maintaining efficient central stock of Raw Material purchased in bulk for the use of Production Department. Ensures that Raw Material is properly received, stored, issued and recorded.
Duties And Responsibilities:
1. Establishes and supervises implementation of annual Raw Material warehousing plan to include racking (storage), safekeeping, rotation, warehouse layout, manpower, and equipments.
2. Executes raw material plan based on production requirements for the whole year. Monitors stock balances to keep required RM quantities on hand. Ensures that requisitions to replenish stock are prepared promptly and accurately.
3. Maintains proper coordination with production planning and scheduling to convert production plan into materials and monitors progress of production plan to carry out any required changes in material plan.
4. Issues prompt and accurate Purchase Requisitions to replenish stock. Transmits requisitions to procurement on time based on suppliers lead time and economic order changes.
5. Supervises maintenance of stock records. Ensures that stock receipts and withdrawals are properly recorded and timely submitted to Procurement and Finance Departments.
6. Coordinates with production and quality control for any changes in specifications and make sure these changes are reflected in the material plan. Ensures optimum RM stock levels and no obsolete materials. Coordinates RM requirements for promotional items.
7. Participates in material cost saving and value added plan for the year.
8. Timely submission of rejection reports to procurement and timely reporting of obsolete and slow moving materials to Procurement Dept.
9. Conducts training for RM staff and storekeepers.
10. Maintains proper work procedures and ensures safety and hygiene of warehouse.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related Engineering field.
• At least 5 years of similar experience with international FMCG industry.
