. Participates in long term planning and development of Phannaceutica1Planning
. Updates and reviews the Hospital stock (SANG Formulary) as required with particular emphasis on correct manufacturers, packing, unit of issue, description... etc. and to ensure that the inventory item catalogue is maintained to reflect accurate information.
. Monitors the Global Stock Level, making the necessary action to transfer the items between the regions according to the consumption to control the zero stock as well as to reduce the wastage.
. Provides assistance in solving supply problem by giving information on the availability of the items needed and offers substitutes as required and assist in identifying items carried in stock inventory.
. Prepares product evaluation for new substitute product and send it to end user for review/approval.
. Maintains liaison with Procurement buyers to assure required delivery dates and other purchase specifications are being understood in order to assist in a smooth and efficient purchase system of item inventory.
. Maintains liaison with Procurement expeditors with regards to nil/critical stock supply requirements.
. Assists the Pharmaceutical Care Department in providing adequate information with regards to suitable substitute during nil stock situations and assists in identifying items carried in stock inventory.
. Verifies and review Distribution Section's picking list if the quantity being issued is beyond the maximum/ minimum limit for each unit and other departments.
. Solicits availability of supplies from other Hospitals during emergency/urgent supply requirements and provide assistance to the hospital-sharing programme as the need arises. Plans and generates stock requisitions (PRs) to ensure availability of stock item required for the smooth operation of the project.
. Reviews on a monthly basis all inventory items with expiration dates and prepare necessary action.
. Responsible for developing forecast methodologies consistent with efficient planning management practices.
. Responsible in checking if any or all of the items request on Special Purchase Requisition (SPR) are carried in inventory and ensure that they are not stock items.
. Provides update of all open PRs and SPRs to concern department.
. Reviews stock on hand levels to prevent out-of-stock situations and closely coordinate with the concern department.
. Utilizes the oracle application properly.
. Assures duplication is avoided when adding items to the stores inventory and the standardization of product is being maintained through amending and consolidating to the right track.
. Collaborates with all members of the Management Team to ensure optimum operation and utilization of resources is achieved.
. Prepares statistics concerning his assigned area.
